Ben is the Industry Managing Director of the Travel advertising business at Microsoft Advertising in the UK, supporting Brands to achieve their goals using the Mcirosoft Advertising overseeing advertiser investment and product development for Microsoft Advertising in the Travel Vertical. Ben has over 15 years’ experience in the digital marketing industry and during that time as held digital marketing leadership roles at publisher, brand and agency including roles at Yahoo and PHD Media, and joined Microsoft Advertising in 2018 from online retail marketplace Notonthehighstreet.com where he was Digital Marketing Director, overseeing all digital marketing activities to drive growth through customer acquisition and retention.
He is a consistent contributor to the industry, presenting and judging at numerous industry events and awards including various Drum events and awards, and UK Digital Marketing Awards over the last few years.
Ben is an advocate for Diversity and Inclusion and has represented Microsoft in talking about inclusive marketing, building trusted brands, and inclusive business culture at various industry and client events in recent years, including CIM Wales regional webinars.
Welsh Government for Business & Tourism Marketing Director, Heledd Owen.
Heledd has worked in a variety of private and public sector communications roles, including at marketing agencies, as Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott’s press officer and Chief Press Officer at the UKG’s Department for International Development.
Most recently, Heledd was Head of Communications for Climate Change at the Welsh Government, advising Ministers on marketing, stakeholder, crisis, media and digital communications. Heledd is a Welsh speaker and originally from Aberystwyth, now living in Cardiff.
