Yolk Recruitment are are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our client where you'll be involved in modifying existing control systems under support contracts and project work. Primarily working with Rockwell PLCs and Rockwell/Wonderware InTouch SCADA systems, you'll also handle Siemens PLC/SCADA technologies. The role, is hybrid , involves the entire software/systems lifecycle-from design and coding to testing, installation, configuration, and documentation, following stringent QA procedures. Occasional on-site work at customer locations is essential, and the role demands adherence to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop PLC and/or SCADA system designs from customer requirements.
- Program PLCs and configure SCADA systems based on developed or provided designs.
- Engage throughout the software/systems lifecycle, ensuring compliance with QA procedures.
- Execute installation, configuration, and testing work at customer sites.
- Collaborate within project teams to meet customer deadlines.
Essential Requirements:
- Engineering/Computer-related qualification (degree/HND) or equivalent industrial experience.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to work seamlessly in combined client/contractor teams.
- Experience in producing design documentation and Test Specifications.
- Willingness to travel and work away as needed.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
- Valid driving license.
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience with at least one of the PLC and SCADA platforms mentioned.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience to meet the requirements of this role.
- Knowledge of project lifecycle.
- PLC system design, coding, testing, and commissioning expertise.
- SCADA system design, configuration, and commissioning skills.
