Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Principal Product Assurance Engineer to join our client on an initial 12 month deal based out of Henlow.
Responsibilities: As the Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing independent visibility and assurance that manufacturing and related processes are applied across all projects. Reporting to the Product Assurance Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Offering professional support and advice on all aspects of quality within Manufacturing.
- Applying quality expertise to critical business issues to support business excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Assisting the organization in achieving cost, time, and quality targets on all programs.
- Assessing and controlling product assurance quality processes and resulting outputs.
- Assuring the correct tailoring and implementation of the Company Business Management System in production programs.
- Conducting independent assessments and audits to ensure successful implementation, application, and improvement of processes and quality requirements.
- Maintaining strong links with Quality Assurance colleagues to achieve Quality Objectives within Manufacturing.
- Defining appropriate risk reduction strategies/action plans in collaboration with Product Assurance Managers and other functions.
- Supporting the development and implementation of Process Effectiveness Review Programmes.
- Interfacing with Customer Representatives when required to support the mitigation of quality issues.
Skillset/Experience Required: The successful candidate must have:
- Quality professional experience in process-based integrated management systems & business improvement in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Quality audit experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of quality standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and organizing skills to prioritize and monitor multiple tasks to deliver set objectives.
- Capability to identify sustainable business improvements and ensure effective implementation.
- Recognition and understanding of internal and external customer requirements, with the ability to respond to them.
- Effective communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
- High self-motivation and determination to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks.
- Recognition and understanding of regulatory and certification requirements, with the ability to respond to them.
