Job Description:

Our client are seeking dynamic and experienced Systems Engineers to join our team, working on cutting-edge maritime projects within the UK defence industry. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and integration of advanced maritime systems, ensuring the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and integrate complex systems for maritime applications, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

- Conduct system-level design and analysis, including requirements definition, system architecture, and interface design.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of subsystems and components.

- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports to verify and validate system performance.

- Support the implementation of system modifications and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

- Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to final delivery.

- Prepare and present technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and status reports, to stakeholders and project management.

- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and security standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

- Proven experience in systems engineering within the defence industry, preferably in maritime projects.

- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, system design, integration, and verification.

- Proficiency with systems engineering tools and methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.

- Active SC clearance or the ability to achieve SC clearance is essential.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques.

- Knowledge of maritime systems and technologies, including sonar, radar, communication, and navigation systems.

- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in systems engineering and defence projects.

- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
